Rocna bow compatibility
In order to clear the bow, I had my boatyard (North Harbor Diesel, Anacortes, WA) fabricate a new stainless steel bow roller to carry the Rocna. My Willard trawler was originally equipped with a 55 lb Fjorford Safety Anchor (popular with fishermen here in the Pacific Northwest). The Fjorford is an excellent anchor, but can be difficult to set. During the summer boating season, many of the anchorges we visit are crowded and require a fairly short scope. I needed an anchor that would set quickly on the first attempt – the Rocna has lived up to my expectations.
