Rocna bow compatibility
I don't think the Rocna would have enjoyed the old roller as it was a single roller arrangement and I expect it would have meant that the aft end of the shank would have sat on the deck unless tension was always left on the windlass (which I wanted to avoid). I also wanted to follow the best practice as discussed on your website so wanted a two roller system and that the top edge of the shank should be horizontal when fully "home" on the roller. I expect that the roll-bar would have clashed with the pulpit also because with the shank then angled down this would cause the roll-bar to fall back against the pulpit/nav light.
